nuvi 760 Recalibration

My 760 was having trouble determining it actually reached its destination. It wouldn't stop navigating and continued saying "Arriving at destination." I decided to recalibrate the unit. I spent some considerable frustrating time attempting to obtain the recalibration screen without success. That's because the instructions in the downloaded manual are wrong! The manual said to turn the unit off, turn it back on and then hold a finger to the screen about 45 seconds until the calibration screen appears. Well, I spent many a 45 seconds while, each time, the unit just went through its normal boot-up without ever getting to the elusive recalibration screen. Turns out the actual sequence is: Turn unit off. Hold finger to screen. Turn unit on. It will then go to the recalibration screen. That, by the way, did not solve the problem. Reinstalling the software from the webupdater (even though it was current) did, though.
