Force Nuvi 255 to rember route taken or pre prgram a route

Hi,

I'm totaly new to GPS receivers.

We just bought a Garmin Nuvi 255. On our travels on known routes it tells us to take roads that are not always the best option. For my directionally challenged husband I'm wondering if there's a way to preprogram it with a "known" route even thogh it's different than what the GPS recommends? Or is there a way for it to memoriaze the route taken even though it's different that the route the Gamin wants to go. Thanks in advance!!

Jen

Two answers, Jen. Unfortunately, both of them are "no".

1) The nüvi 255 does not support routes. You can enter a destination, and it will take you there however it feels best. That's it.

2) If you got a unit that does support routes, it still is difficult to get it to follow the route you want. You have to already know where you want to go, then add waypoints to get it closer and closer to your chosen route.
