Nuvi 750 Question?

I am thinking about buying a Nuvi 750, I own a 76cx which works well for off roading which we do in the southerrn ca deserts. What im wondering is I have a lot of tracks on mapsource will i be able to download those into the nuvi so i can see them. (we like to see the trails weve been on as referance points).

Also i have read that the tracklog in the 750 is attatched to roads, does that mean that if i am off roading it wont make the track? And does it leave a breadcrumb as you are driving?

Thanks for your Help

Re: Nuvi 750 Question?

Answers in reverse order:
1) It leaves a breadcrumb (it maintains a track log)
2) The tracklog is where you were, it does not care about roads for that
3) The trail on the 750 is a pretty blue line that is so large in comparison to the terrain being shown that it is basically useless, for ME. I have not tried zooming in to see it at "high-def", I just mean at automotive resolution it is wider than the streets I am following. Not knowing your needs/desires or what quality of view you are willing to put up with, it may be entirely adequate for you.
4) You will be able to download them from/to the GPS
5) The 750 is not waterproof/dustproof so I hope you do not intend to replace your 76cx with it. Batteries don't last as long, either.

Also, I have one here in San Diego if you want to try hooking it to a computer and putting some of your track logs on it.
