Broken Nuvi, old Streetpilot How do I?

Hi, I am new to GPS and this forum. I just bought a streetpilot for $89 but the next week My aunt gift me her nuvi 200, and I bougth some maps for the nuvi since I like it more. so a few days ago I went to the beach and my G/F droped the nuvi and kick it.... Now half of the screen is dead.

Since I have the streetpilot I would like to transfer the non free maps from the nuvi to the streetpilot... I think the guys at the map store put the maps in the internal memory....

How can I take that maps from the internals os the nuvito use it in the street pilot..??

Nuvi has no SD... thats why I think its on the internal memory...

I appreciate your help

Since the 25 digit code is locked to one device and the license explicitly states that you can only use it on one device I would recommend talking to Garmin.

They may ask you to send in the dead unit as proof that the license can be freed up of course.

Speak to them and find out what the policy is.

I suggest you don't try to 'winky' it. Even though you may feel legit something unforseen may crop up later when you want to upgrade the maps etc. I'm sure the official channels accomodate this.

If the only option that you have is to send in the unit and pay for repair or order a screen and DIY then I guess that's it.
