Folks,

I have a recently purchased 60csx and City Nav NT 2008 DVD.
I installed City Navigator North America NT 2008 on Vista x64 with no problems. The data version is 9.00, Mapsource version is 6.13.7.

I had trouble finding a way to update to 2009.
I went to register and City Navigator was not in the drop down list. So I went for broke and chose Metro Guide NA.
It took my serial number OK and listed it in "my garmin" and I got the congrats and the 10% discount shopping code.
I go to My Garmin and still no update available. After a serious hunt and peck I call.

The prompt said 30 to 35 minutes, it was 18 minutes. Love the speaker phone.

I explain to the guy and he asks for my Mapsource and data versions. He says the 2009 data version is 10.00.

He gets my user name and corrects the Metroguide thing from his end and asks me to log in to confirm. All was well and a free 2009 update available appeared. I chose to down load the 2.04GB file.

I'm at 30% with 31 minutes left @ 773 KB/S transfer rate. I have killer cable speed so if it's bottle necked it's at their end.

If you have a pop up blocker on Firefox kill it because it's a JAVA download manager thing. I created a new folder and it wouldn't let me rename it so I continued and will name it later.

I asked if I did anything wrong and could I have did it without having to call. He said no. Not how things are right now.

I'll post here if there are any other tips or issues in my humble experience.
