60CSX 12v will no longer work any ideas?

Hello to you all I am a new member to this awesome forum.

I have a Garmin 60CSx. I use this on a motorcycle. The unit no longer works on 12volt from the motorcycle power supply. It was working perfectly??

I am using a Garmin 12v cigarette lighter power supply lead, fuse is fine, I am getting 12v across 2 of the 4 pins in the connector tested with a multi-meter. So power through cable is no worries.

The GPS works via USB power supply when plugged into the laptop. When I plug the motorcycle 12v supply in it now comes up with the battery symbol on the top line of each screen indicating it is not running on 12v but has reverted to battery power.

Actual receiver works perfectly during all of these tests.

What do you think any ideas?

p.s. This is a road bike and the GPS has not been subjected to any mistreatment of shock loading.

Cheers and thanks in advance
