Sending route from MapSource to nu260 ?

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to send route that was created in MapSource to the nuvi260 ? I tried to send a route over to the SD card in the nuvi260 but could not find it anywhere when I turned on the device. Can someone show me if this can be done ?

Welcome to the site!

The 260 doesn't support routes, so unfortunately this won't work with it.

Ok. Thanks so I can disregard the MapSource message saying that it has sent the route information to my SD card ?

Well yes and no.

It is possible to send it to your SD card - but you can only import a route (from SD card) on a unit that supports route importing

I've read that if you send directly to the unit, it will put the route waypoints in the Favorites list, but I"ve never tested that, as I don't really want them there anyway. I create my routes for my 260 on Mapsource, then save any needed waypoints as .gpx and load them as a custom POI file. Then I just select them in order to navigate the "route".
