I just updated the maps on my gps to 2009 and now when i search for an address it comes back with 2 duplicate addresses in the results field. Also, I only updated a few states with the 2009 maps, the rest are still 2008. When I search addresses in other states that I havent updated to 2009 I still get just 1 result...so it has to be because of the 2009 map update.

I'm using the garmin streetpilot 2720 so I can't delete anything...am I stuck with having 2 duplicate results for everything I search?

How did you update just a couple of states? When you update do you remove the old map or overwrite? It sound like you now have the updated states twice. Check the maps loaded.

It lets you choose which states you want to upload. The entire map wouldn't fit on my gps anyways, it's about 200mb short.

When I check the installed maps on my gps it says City Nav maps 2008 ALL and city nav maps 2009 (florida, georgia, etc..) I would like to remove 2008 all together, but it doesnt seem possible.

So, it seems like I am using two maps at once and so when I search an address or w/e it gives me two identical results.

This doesn't seem like a common problem...I can't find any information about it anywhere.

Surely there is a way of deleting the old map.

How did you get the updater that your using? it doesen't sound like the right one...

Did you ever get this resolved? I'm also having this same problem. Also my garmin is a little slower when I'm on a route. After notifying a turn, and you make the turn, it is slower to refresh the streets after you make the turn. I compared this by having 2 Garmins programmed with the same route, one that had not been updated.
