Trouble using topo maps with Nuvi 760

Hi, I just got my Nuvi this week, so I'm still learning my way around. I've been using Navigator on my Palm (Tom-Tom), for a couple of years, so I'm familiar with the concepts. I did update the firmware and the maps, first thing.

I got the Nuvi partly so I could take it hiking with me, as well as for road use. Next week I'll be going to Maine, so I purchased the Garmin US Topo 24K National Parks, East CD. I am able to select maps and upload them to my Nuvi, however, I can't see them on the Nuvi. That is, they show up in the directory, and when I use
Settings/Map/Map Info, the US Topo is listed. But I can't figure out how to display the maps on the Nuvi.

Any suggestions for how to make this work? I've unchecked the City Navigator (preloaded U.S.) maps, but that doesn't seem to make any difference.

Help?

You've unchecked the City Nav maps, and have you checked the checkboxes for the topo maps? They should be on the list - you'll just have to scroll down.

Yes, I had done that. Turns out that when I used a different SD card, and downloaded it to the card first rather than via the USB connection, the Topo map worked fine. I think it was a problem with my upload, not with the Nuvi.

It's a little weird because I needed to use the City file to navigate to the area first, then I could turn it off by unclicking it in the Map Info screen. Each of the topo maps in the 24K East covers only a small area. But now I've got it working.

Thanks!

Cool, I was going to mention that they had split them up into a bunch of smaller maps but figured you'd notice
