Garmin 60csx

hi all
I have a new 60csx and I found some lack of pertinent details in the owner's manual. For instance I still do not know what "show on the map" means on the saved track windows. I did check mark the box and uncheck it many times and I did not see any changes any where in all windows.

Secondly I did try for hours to figure out how to record individual (separate)tracks on the same day with the unit. Basickly I did try many different settings without success. When I look at the track on the map I only see one track starting from the begining of the first track and ending at the end of the last track recorded. boy what should I do now??

Any one can help?

Thanks,
Dumais

Hi Dumais, I'm going to shuffle this thread over to the Garmin section

First question...are you doing this on Mapsource or on the 60csx itself?
Some of the data fields you describe are in the Mapsource software AND 60csx which is why I ask.

Thanks, and welcome to the site

Max, all my trials were done using the 60csx.

I addressed my "show on the map" concert to Garmin support, and looking forward to receive feedback

Re: Garmin 60csx

When you have "show on the map" checked, it should be showing a breadcrumb like trail of track points on the map page. You may have to zoom in or out to view them. If the 60CSx software is similar to my 76CSx, you can also specify at what zoom level for the track to become visible.

Re: Garmin 60csx

With the "show on the map" checked, there is no breadcrumb representing the track on the main map page Andy (the map page selected by pressing repetively the page button). I did zoom in/out many time and maintained right location where the track is supposed to be. No track ever appeared. I did not receive any answer yet from Garmin about this concern.

By the way my 60csx is equipped with software v3.60 and the GPS software is v3.00

Re: Garmin 60csx

Sorry I am drawing a blank here, I never tinkered much with changing the track visibility on my 60csx, only the types of track and method of acquisition

I would call Garmin tomorrow if you can (or Tuesday if they are closed).
