Streetpilot 2720 map updates

Does Garmin require the registration card to be mailed for map updates? The reason I ask is I never mailed my registration card and when I tried updating my 2720 from here Garmin: Map Updates it said "No information found for that serial number".

I am pretty sure it does mean that your system isn't registered with them so they don't know, however - you can register here:

myGarmin is a good/handy place to register all your Garmin stuff

I agree, I have 2720's, that I dearly love. Probably the best units I have had to date. Having just bought the Navigon 7100, am passing one of the 2720's on to my youngest son. Called Garmin to make sure he would have no trouble with updates. They said I should have him call them and give them the serial # and unlock code and re-register to himself, then he would be good to go. Registration of all these units is a very good idea. If you lose your unlock code somehow or forget it, they will e-mail it back to you. ............. Hank G.
