Find page problems with GPSMap 60csx SOLVED

Ignore the question I posted below. After a bit of searching I discovered that I made an error in trying to load two overlapping maps into the GPS. (It would be nice if the maploading s/w warned you of this ...) So the solution to having both TOPO maps and street maps is to load the TOPO maps on one card and street maps on a second card.
-----

This is probably a dumb question, but I did skim the manual looking for an answer. So here goes:

Yesterday I purchased my first GPS, the Garmin GPSmap 60csx. I also installed a 2gb card. Plus, I bought two map sets, Garmin's topo usa and Garmin's city nav for north American cities.

(I have Garmin's Canada topo map set and Garmin's western US national parks map sets on order.)

I installed the California portions of both the US topo and the north American cities map sets.

So far so good.

My question is, I cannot search via address, or intersection since neither option appears on the find page. Is it because I have two overlapping map sets (plus the base map)? Disabling the maps doesn't appear to solve the problem. My next step is to remove all maps and start over.

Also, the City Nav Map Set claims, on the CD cover, to contain many, many POIs, but I can't seem to find them. Tried the POI loader but could not find any matching POI files on the CD or my hard drive.

I have downloaded some free POI sets and successfully installed them.

This afternoon I spent (too) much time searching online for help, reviewing the manual, etc.

Suggestions?

thanks
- James

Re: Find page problems with GPSMap 60csx

I've been having this same problem with my GPS. I noticed it says you solved it, but you didn't post what you had done. Could you tell me how you fixed your problem?

you can of course use both maps on the same card. I did it by using a piece of software to combine the maps into one .img file.

Do you happen to remember the software you used?
