| Garmin C330 Windshield Mount
I have been having a heck of time keeping my Garmin C330 mounted to windshield. I lock the suction cup, have moistened suction to avail. The mount has fallen at least five times. Can anyone out there advise me on something that will keep GPS mounted to windshield. Thanking in Advance anyone that can help me with this problem. |

You could use their double-sided tape dash mount to permanently (non-removable) mount it to the windshield. Suction cup mounts have never worked for me. Weather changes, either cold<->warm or dry<->moist, cause them to lose their grip too often. |

| Re: Garmin C330 Windshield Mount You can also try the friction beanbag mounts (my choice), vent mounts. There are a number of other options available.

Yes, as rapriebe says, there are other options. You specified the windshield mount, but I personally do use the beanbag mount (four lobes with a friction mat). It has worked very well. I just took it to Oregon, driving through the twisty roads through the redwoods and over snow and ice. It never moves. And then it is easy to remove, so there is no trace that a GPS is used in the vehicle. No reason to break in to see if the glovebox is unlocked. Also, when on the road, the FM channels change which are being used, so once in a while we needed to move the beanbag to improve the FM. Hard to do with a mounted unit. |
