Need Help With Garmin Nuvi 350

Hi,

I have a Garmin Nuvi 350 which I purchased in Taiwan last year. My problem is that I would like to use this GPS in America as I live here now. I called Garmin and they told me I had to buy a update disc which I did. The disc that they told me to purchase was the "Map Update 2008 North America" Disc. However, when I go to install this, it does not work. Anyone have any idea how I can get my 350 to work in the states? Thanks in advance!!!

Hi Dennis!

What kind of error is it giving? Are you able to copy the maps and they just aren't appearing on the 350?

Hi Andy,

The maps will not copy into the unit. It says it cannot upload the software. Could it be that the firmware is in Chinese? Also, I checked the software version and it was 2.11 so I tried to update to the newest 5.30 and it doesn't work either.

For the firmware update, are you using Garmin's WebUpdater?

You may need to email or phone Garmin. If their webupdater is not letting it upgrade and it's not letting you update the maps, it sounds like something isn't working right with it. You might try reseting it and see if the webupdater works then. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
