Nuvi 6.60 V3.20 Update

Wish I could revert back to 2.70. They changed the interface for the FM traffic. It's really hard to use now. Requiring a lot of user interface just to figure out what traffic is where. The list that was available in 2.70 was much easier to use.

Anybody know were we can find the 2.70 firmware update? Stay clear of 3.20 if you like the current traffic interface.

Re: Nuvi 6.60 V3.20 Update

Found the 2.70 firmware here:

Reverting back from 3.2 reset the unit back to factory settings and all waypoints were lost so make sure you back them up before installing.

Re: Nuvi 6.60 V3.20 Update

what were the advantages (if any) with the new version?

I liked what came with the last one - the Bluetooth enhancements were quite nice

Re: Nuvi 6.60 V3.20 Update

This is what Garmin says was changed from 2.70 to 3.60.
  • New Traffic Interface
  • Fixed Memory Full message
  • Removed + when dialing POI's in the United States
  • High power FM support for Australia
I thought the display was a little smoother as you drove, but maybe I was just seeing things. The new traffic interface was hard to use. They basically took away the text page listing of traffic and just left the map display. It took a lot of button presses to actually see what direction of the highway an incident was on. Instead of just looking at a list, sorted by distance from your current position.
