TOPO Issues on iQue M5

Hi,

I have had my iQue M5 for a few years and always used the street navigation software it came with. I just picked up a new version of TOPO Canada and installed it on my PC, it integrates with the existing Mapsource software and allows me to see either the topo maps or street maps.

I use the topo feature and select the maps i want, about a dozen, totalling about 12 megs worth of data. I send it to my M5 no problem, but i can't find a way to view the topo maps on the M5. I have seen no mention of adding a "topo map reader" to the M5, and there does not seem to be a mention of switching between maps like on the mapsource PC software.

Does anyone have any experience with using topo maps on a traditionally street map unit? Garmin does list the device and the software as compatible.

Re: TOPO Issues on iQue M5

I don't have an M5, but from the manual.

Hit Menu
QuePreferences
Manage

There you'll see a list of all the map data you have. I think you need to de-select everything except the Topo stuff.

If I'm right it should be pretty easy to unselect all of the City Select maps and then select the Topo ones.

Re: TOPO Issues on iQue M5

Sometimes you just need to know what place to look. My 76CSx and 76s both have a similar setting when uploading other mapsets.
