Zumo 450 and 2008 update

At this time (October 2008), there are a lot of low prices on Garmins that do not come with the most recent 2008 City Navigator update. If I purchase a new Zumo 450, will this come with the latest update?

Is there a place on Garmin's site where I can ask this question?

You should be entitled to one update, but they may have changed their policy. Your best bet would be to give Garmin a call to confirm.

I just received my Zumo 550 and it included NT2008

When I procured my 60csx in early 2006 (I don't remember which version just came out) but I contacted the selling agency (gpsdiscount.com) and asked them. They indicated as of the release date of the new software - all units would ship with it, or with a free upgrade.

I believe the upgrade Keith references is still in effect and is actually a staple @ Garmin. I would give you a link here, but the only place I can find this info is in "my Garmin", but I cannot find it because all my mapsource products are current.

I e-mailed Garmin and they said that if I received the V.8 (2007) database, they would provide the 2008 update for free.
