I'm in the process of buying a new GPS Navigation. I looked at several models, and I came across this model (which I like the most), and the description says: "NO AV-in Function".

I don't know its meaning.

If you know, just share here.

And also any suggestion on choosing a GPS system is also welcome.

I'd really appreciate your help in advance.

Why are they different? I uploaded using the same download file from Garmin (I downloaded once and copied it in two computers and did the install.)

Could it be one computer for Vista and the other computer XP?

How much confidence do you have in these free (and legal, as I understand from the website) maps from OSM World Routable.

Worldwide routable Garmin maps from OpenStreetMap (http://garmin.na1400.info/routable.php)

1) I really don't want to spend another $149USD if I can use free maps.
2)Secondly, I had purchased Garmin Maps for China and the government-required map offset wasn't properly adjusted as it should when I went to China.

Thanks

Colorado 400t help

Good morning, I'm new to this site and new to GPS's. Son gave me this 400t that is driving me crazy. Seems to have a mind of its own, which means I can't understand why it does what it does. One of the potential usage was to map areas of our property that have been either thinned or brushed for forestry purposes. I find that though I can archive a track, I cannot download it to my computer nor can I delete off of my GPS unit. I can only download a current track. Is this the way it is supposed to be or do I just not understand.

Another frustration is that though I can be on a spot, say a starting point, then make a circuit and come back to that same spot and have it be 20-30 feet off. Or walk the same track, indentical, and show up as 20-30 feet different on sperate track that are placed on the map for the entire distance of the same walk.

If anyone has any insight that would relieve my desire to bash this thing, I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

I picked up the Garmin 3790T today. When I went to load my routes, I found that the option was not supported. I'm really disappointed. Its a great looking GPS but I have to be able to plan my routes out on the computer and upload them to the GPS. Some of these routes can be very complex.

Can anyone recommend a Garmin GPS that will let me use mapsource to plan out routes and send them to my GPS?

The 3790T is even listed as having Multiple point routing. What am I missing here?

I just downloaded the latest map CN North America NT 2011.20 and it is in the GPS OK (Nuvi750) but I cannot see it in MapSource - It only shows the older map versions. Previous times the new maps showed on MapSource right away and I just clicked to select them. I had the latest MapSource version but I downloaded and installed it again but no luck. I restarted the computer but again no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions... Please?

I can not find the CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION choice,
I only wanted one silly voice.
it is not located on the PROFILE page,
nor is it is not located on the SUPPORT page,
I do not wish to open a new VOICE VAULT
I am now stuck and it is not my FAULT,
it must stop before I fly into a RAGE.
I can not find the CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION page.
I did not want it when when I first checked-out,
I did not want it a month later when I first paid out,
it is obvious that I can not cancel my subscription,
for that I do have but one prescription,
if you never purchase from PigTones,
you won't loose your hard earned bones.
I can not find the "CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION" button,
I will not be consumed like a leg of mutton.
Get out and get away quick
before you make your credit card sick
Look at me, I thought it would be fun,
but now me thinks it's only begun.
If I could CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION it would already be done!!!

Hi

I have presently a Garmin Etrex. The features of this GPS are perfect for me but the signal quality is very poor. Immediately when they are some trees the GPS lost the signal. I would like to buy an othe one with better signal quality. I simply want a GPS with Etrex features and with a good reception. I have seen the Etrex H. Is it really better? I have also seen Magellan Explorist 100 and 500. It seems it is a simillar signal captor. Is the Mangellan Explorist have a good reception?

Thank you

I have a Garmin nuvi 200 that needs updating of the maps, but am also inter-
ested in whether I should just upgrade to the newer models with TTS, real-
time traffic info, etc. The cost through Amazon, etc. is about the same; are there some good reasons to just stay with the 200 and buy a Lifetime update plan or do I gain some real advantages with a newer model? What about buy-
ing one with the Lifetime update map plan?

G'day cobbers from Australia,

Robert Harrison here just to say g'day to you all, and with my first problem. Oh what a way to introduce yourself, but I might as well jump in with both feet. So let me pick some ones brains. My Nuvi 260 will not download the maps when in the car or on the computer. It says it is loading maps and that is it. I can get more out of a squashed Goanna that I have run over. If my Garman had been working I might have missed it. So if there is some one out there who loves Goanna's I would appreciate some help in getting this little box working.

Have a good weekend everyone. Looking forward to having my problem solved.

What would cause it to re calculate even though you take the right turns?

Right now I have the unit turned off, I usually leave it on 24/7
